Due to recent emergency surgery that Mumford & Sons bassist Dwayne went under this week, the group was forced to cancel their trip to the Bonnaroo Music Festival this year. Fans will get a very popular replacement in the lineup however, as Jack Johnson has agreed to fill in for the band.
Mumford & Sons were one of the main groups that were headlining a set on Saturday at the Bonnaroo festival. “I was on my way to Bonnaroo to sit in on a set with my friends ALO last night when we got the call asking if I could possibly help out and cover for Mumford and Sons,” said Johnson in a statement about his last-minute main stage gig. “I heard the news about Ted Dwane and was happy to know that he was on his way to recovery.” Mumford and Sons were also forced to cancel concerts in Texas due to the incident.
