Disney has altered some of the company’s upcoming film’s schedules, revealing two pictures from Marvel Pictures that, as of right now, do not have names.
We reported earlier that ‘Doctor Strange’ was scheduled for 2016, this could be the film’s new release date and a planned sequel in 2017.
Disney has moved the musical “Into the Woods” to Christmas Day in 2014, that film stars Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt and is directed by Rob Marshall. There are eight animated titles expected out before 2018. The most interesting tidbits from the schedule change are from Marvel however, with one picture coming out in May 2016 and May 2017. Also on the list of changes are “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” releasing on October 10, 2014 and “Tomorrowland” featuring George Clooney releasing on December 12th.
Next year Disney will also release “Fire and Rescue,” on July 18, 2014 (the sequel to’Planes’). August 2014 is the release of “The Hundred-Foot Journey”. There will also be a sequel to “Muppets,” that picture now has a title “Muppets Most Wanted” and will release March 21, 2014.
