Last Night we learned that Final Fantasy XV will be next installment of the Final Fantasy franchise, after the MMO Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is released on PS3 and PC.
This particular title has been in development for three years and the new title may have come as a surprise to fans. The new game will release for both the PS4 and the Xbox One but the story of the game may still be a mystery to a lot of people. We can help with that but only slightly until more information is released when we get closer to the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One.
The game was known by all as ‘FINAL FANTASY Versus XIII’ but was expanded and evolved to take “full advantage of the capabilities of next generation platforms” according to Square Enix who spoke about the game at E3 2013. While the main concept, world and story continue to be developed as originally envisioned, the First Production Development Team has further improved FINAL FANTASY XV’s action, gameplay elements and graphic quality to match the technology of the next generation hardware, as well as the expectations of players eagerly awaiting the game’s release.
In the game, the armed forces of Niflheim launch a devastating assault upon the Kingdom of Lucis, casting Crown Prince Noctis and his comrades out of their homes and into the fray. The engaging tale to follow draws audiences into an “awe-inspiring world steeped in the rich storytelling traditions of SQUARE ENIX’s renowned First Production Development team”.
This will serve as the main backdrop of the game, allowing players to explore new lands, characters and a world that was previously unavailable before. You can check out the trailer above and stay tuned for more info about the title.
