It looks like ‘Pretty Little Liars’ will be expanding its stranglehold on primetime television, the creator of the show is currently detailing a spinoff show called ‘Ravenswood’.
Not too far from the town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania is the town of Ravenswood, where the new spinoff series is set to take place. The town has been under a deadly curse for some time now. In the story there will be five unique strangers who are all connected by the horrible curse. The only way to free themselves from it is to uncover the mysteries of the quiet town. The new show will feature Pretty Little Liars cast-member Tyler Blackburn (shown on the right), who plays Caleb Rivers on the popular series. Joining her on the show is Brett Dier, Elizabeth Whitson, Nicole Gale Anderson, Britne Oldford and Merritt Patterson.
Executive producer Marlene King, takled about why it was Caleb who will be making the switch to the new series saying, “It’s been explored on the show that he doesn’t really know that much about his past and about his parents,” the EP told THR. “Because of the nature of what Ravenswood will be, it felt like he was the best character to take us to that world and explore the mythology that we’re going to explore.”
Fans will first meet the new town in episode seven of Pretty Little Liars’ fourth season. Fans should be exited to know that both shows will intertwine eventually, bringing their favorite cast-members into the show and perhaps the other way around. Ravenswood debuts this October afterthe Pretty Little Liars’ Halloween episode on ABC.
