Reports are stating that Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio will soon be developing a new Rasputin film, the new project will be under the actor’s studio-based ‘Appian Way’ branch with Kevin McCormick’s Langley Park Pictures.
Jason Hall, the writer of “American Sniper,” will also write the script focusing on the infamous Russian advisor. Rasputin lived under the Russian Imperial family from 1907 until his death in 1916, he was rumored to be a magician, a necromancer, a sorcerer and telepathic depending on what Russian tales you read. According to reports the project will be produced by McCormick, Appian Way with Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Peter Morgan. This will be DiCaprio’s next production, after finishing Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf Of Wall Street.” In this film DiCaprio will play Jordan Belfort, that film is also with Paramount working on distribution.
