Shannon Richardson, Walking Dead and Vampire Diaries, arrested in Risen letters case
The story could have been lifted from anyone one of the series that Shannon Richardson (Shannon Rogers, Shannon Guess) has appeared on in her career. She is currently under arrest, in a bizarre connection to Risen letters that were sent to President Barack Obama, New York City Major Michael Bloomberg and Mark Glaze in Washington.
Previously it was Shannon that accused her husband of sending poison to the president, then NBC News reported news of her arrest in the matter. Shannon is only 35, she was arrested in Mt. Pleasant, Texas earlier this morning. She appeared in front of Judge Craven this afternoon in Texarkana, Texas.
Shannon has been officially charged with mailing a threatening communication to the President of the United States, this according to local officials that we spoke with earlier today. Strangely this crime comes with a maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison. NBC is reporting that Shannon had called the Federal Bureau of Investigation stating her husband had sent the letters. It didn’t take long before they suspected that she had sent the letters, not her husband.
The actress has been seen on The Vampire Diaries and the Walking Dead on AMC, her husband’s name is Nathaniel Richardson and is an Army veteran.
The letters in question stated, “You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns,” the message sent to Bloomberg read. “Anyone who wants to come to my house will get shot in the face. The right to bear arms is my constitutional God given right and I will exercise that right till the day I die.”
