If there is one word that seems to wrap-up the latest trailer for Grasshopper Manufacture’s upcoming title ‘Killer is Dead,’ it’s “dead”. It seems no one is spared in this game-world.
The video features Frédéric Chopin’s Étude Op. 10 No. 3 in E major, and the violence, hedonism and brutality that is featured in ‘Killer is Dead’ is not curtailed for the video. There are also a lot of villains in this game, characters that seem to meet their ultimate fate rather quickly at the hands of our lead protagonists. From Tokio, Victor and Giant Head, to Damon and Hamada-Yama no one seems to be spared in this story-line.
Sword combat and highly-stylized cutscenes seem to be the backbone of the this game as well and the video features plenty of both. The trailer was released earlier this week and showcases a lot of the basics that players will experience when the game finally releases in North America for the Xbox 360 and the PS3.
XSEED and Deep Silver have signed on to bring the game to North America and Europe, but although the game is scheduled to release in Japan over the summer, there is still no official release date for the other regions.
