The most commonly requested features for Windows 8 users, seem to be all the features that have been using for the last decade. One of them is the start button and the original desktop.
Although the Windows 8 UI is bright and informative and customizable, it is really based for touch-screens, and since those aren’t exactly commonplace yet a lot of people want the old ways back. Earlier this week Microsoft spent a few minutes at Computex talking about the new features that will be coming to users via the free Windows 8.1 update. In the video above you can check out the Start Button, but Microsoft didn’t go into all of the details on its functionality and design at this time.
The new update will bring with it a ton of new features, like seeing all your apps when pushing said Smart button. New customization options, features and design choices will be coming your way with the update. The preview version of Windows 8.1 is expected to laumch on June 26, 2013.
