The Imitation Games picks up Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley
If you spent your memorial day watching ‘Star Trek’ and were hoping to see more of Benedict Cumberbatch then you are in luck. The star will take the leading role across from newly confirmed Keira Knightley.
Knightly is currently in final negotiations with the film to star Cumberbatch. The recently wed Knightly will also be featured in ‘Can a Song Save Your Life?’ and ‘Jack Ryan’ in later this year. News of the talks come from THR, which state that Knightley is only a few signatures away form starring in the film.
The film itself centers around a U.K. mathematician and cryptographer (played by Cumberbatch) who aided the allies against the Germans in World War II. It was this same man that was eventually persecuted for being gay, which eventually led to his suicide. The film is being produced by Teddy Schwarzman and is from Ampersand Pictures.
