If you weren’t almost 100% sure that E3 was becoming completely irrelevant and standing on its last legs when Sony and Microsoft held their separate events before E3 this year, here’s another reason to skip the show.
Activision has announced that it too will hold its own pre-E3 “All Access” live stream for their upcoming title ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’. The event will be held on Sunday, June 9th at 2:00pm ET. It is at this time that Activision promises to show 30 minutes of new gameplay, some behind the scenes footage, interviews and everything else that you would expect at E3, but not at E3. As Activision states, “Join hosts Geoff Keighley and Justine Ezarik this Sunday for Call of Duty: Ghosts All-Access.”,
The show will be a live, 30 minute “broadcast featuring an exclusive first look at gameplay levels from the title, as well as exclusive behind the scenes footage, interviews with the Infinity Ward team, and more”.
Tune into Callofduty.com and other online destinations across the web (like here) or watch it on the Machinima app on Xbox 360. Oh did we mention that Nintendo isn’t even doing a keynote this year? You would think that would allow more time for things like this during the show. Maybe they are saving room for Apple or Valve, or another one of my hope-filled dreams.
