Sony confirms that it is mandatory for PS4 games to support Remote Play with PS Vita
If you have a PS Vita or are thinking of getting one, then Sony has some terrific news for you. The company has confirmed that it will make it mandatory that all PS4 games support the PS Vita remote play feature, making all of your PS4 titles available anywhere you have wi-fi.
The news came from Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios at Sony Computer Entertainment, who confirmed the feature on Twitter stating, “Yes, it’s true unless the game requires specific hardware like the camera. It will be great to play PS4 games on PS Vita.” This will make almost every PlayStation 4 title available to stream, and you won’t have to buy a separate PS Vita copy for the same game (unless you want to play offline)
The forced interaction with the PS Vita could allow PS Vita gamers to take their PS4 titles anywhere they want, or simply hop of the PS4 and play anywhere else in the house. It’s probably one of the smartest moves tat Sony could do to reinforce the PS4 and it shows that the company is ready to support the handheld in the future.
