While performing on the U.K. TV talent show ‘Britain’s Got Talent,’ Jennifer Lopez may have crossed the line from contemporary to offensive in her clothing and performance choices. The show received a list of complaints about the performer, who agreed to make an appearance on the family show.
The complaints ranged from her provocative attire, to her actual performance. Her song however, seemed to be the last thing on viewer’s minds. Lopez hit the stage for the Tuesday night episode of “Britain’s Got Talent” dancing along to the her new track ‘Live It Up,’ dressed in thigh-high leather boots and a black leotard. It took only a few minutes before fans started complaining, according to reports. The show is considered a family show, aimed at children and pre-teens much like ‘America’s Got Talent’ is here in the states.
The British version of the FCC, or Ofcom, stated that it received about 30 official complaints from upset viewers and a spokesperson stated, “Ofcom can confirm that it has received complaints about the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ broadcast last night, which we are assessing but not currently investigating.”
