Best Buy Memorial Day sale is more new tech, not just a clearance sale

No matter what you are in the market for clothes, furniture, cars or gadgets, Memorial Day weekend is one of the best days of the summer to spend money. Best Buy has finally released its Memorial Day plans for its online retailer, and it has a surprisingly large amount of current offerings.

Usually Memorial Day is dotted with a few new gadgets and clearance shelf of outdated wares, but this year things seem much better for consumers. Taking up the most advertisement real-estate is the ‘Samsung Galaxy S4’, though the $199 price-tag isn’t too much of a change from the standard 2-year agreement that AT&T and Verizon offer year-round. In laptops you have two competing versions of a standard 15″ model. There’s the Toshiba Satellite 15.6″ Laptop with 4GB Memory and 320GB Hard Drive for only $269.99, and the ‘Lenovo IdeaPad’ 15.6″ Laptop with Intel Pentium dual-core processor, 4GB memory, 500GB hard drive, and Windows 8 for $285.

Higher up on the sale-chain is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet with 16GB Memory which is $50 off some colors, others are $20 off. The Sony VAIO T Series 15.5″ Touch-Screen Ultrabook, which is getting a $130 price-cut to $799 and features 3rd Gen Intel Core i5 processor; 15.5″ touchscreen display; 8GB memory; 750GB hard drive; 24GB solid state drive, Bluetooth, backlit keyboard and HDMI output.

This year TVs seem to be having the biggest sales, with 55″-60″ models being cut down to the mid $300-$400 price range for the least expensive models. Higher-priced brands like the Samsung 55″ Class with 1080p LED featuring 240Hz and 3D are cut down by almost $300.

The Nintendo 3DSXL is currently $20 off as well, taking the price down to just $179. The majority of popular Nintendo 3DS titles are $10 off as well. Square Enix’s hit reboot ‘Tomb Raider’ gets $15 off this weekend, taking the price down to $34.99. Defiance, Metal Gear Revengeance, PES 2013 and more are on sale as well for $10 off if you pick it up this weekend. Star Treks’s lates game is $20 off. A few Turtle Beach headsets made the list with an average savings of about $40 off the MSRP.

The promotions will continue for the next 4-days, though Best Buy has a notoriously bad habit of running out of stock on almost every major sale item that they advertise. You can check out the official promotions page below. (Helpful Hint: Scroll down and shop by category on the sale page, it’s much easier to find the 4 day promotions).
