Twitter adds two-step authentication to profiles at long last
Twitter has now released its own form of two-step authentication for all accounts, a security feature that follows a string of high-profile Twitter account hacks in the media.
The feature can be easily enabled through your Twitter settings, you will beed a confirmed email address and a verified phone number for your account. One you activate the protection, you will then enter a six-digit code sent to your mobile device through an SMS message. After doing so, you will sign in with your normal username and password combination.
If you use Twitter to login into accounts, Twitter stated that this shouldn’t be an issue moving forward. Just visit the applications management page and you can generate a temporary password to log into a service.
