Among the many announcements today at the Google I/O conference, one that may become a very handy tool for the everyday user is the new ability to send money through Gmail.
As seen in the video above, users will be able to send money using Gmail and Google Wallet. Google states that the service has been designed to “quickly and securely send money to friends and family within the U.S.”. International laws will probably make the service quite difficult to use sending money outside of the U.S. but it should be a relatively easy way for parents, friends and loved-ones to send money to each other. The service is expected to launch shortly, Google has released the video above to demonstrate the new servie.
