James Franco, Academy Award nominee, directs and stars in the William Faulkner Adaptation featuring Danny McBride, Tim Blake Nelson and Logan Marshall-Green.
The events preceding the Cannes Film Festival gave viewers the chance to screen James Franco’s “As I Lay Dying in” the Un Certain Regard section. This is the first trailer of the highly-acclaimed film which is expected out later this year. Franco also penned the screenplay, based on the classic tale in the 1930s Mississippi. The full starring cast includes: Danny McBride, Tim Blake Nelson, Logan Marshall-Green, Beth Grant and Ahna O’Reilly.
There are 15 characters and over 60 chapters in the book, the story lives through these characters own perspective, which should prove to be a challenge in the film, though with how things look in the trailer, Franco has overcome that obstacle.
