A sad day indeed for SNL fans, but one they probably should have been preparing for, Bill Hader has announced that he will be leaving the show. His final show is just days away.
It was 2005 when Bill Hader first joined SNL and since then his impressions and colorful characters have been some of the best that the show produced in the last 7 years. Bill’s last show will be the season finale that is set to premier this Saturday.
Bill Hader is probably best known for his Weekend Update city correspondent ‘Stefon’, which he co-created with John Mulaney, his James Carville impression or his Al Pacino impression. Hader talked about the decision to leave in a statement saying “It was a hard decision, but it has to happen at some point,” Hader told The New York Times. “It got to a point where I said, ‘Maybe it’s just time to go.’” He will be missed, though we are sure to see him in films (or television) again very soon.
