This is just one of those movies that it seems were cast during a large Hollywood gala-event. The surprising cast have all been named and the Weinstein Company has released the first trailer for the film.
The dark comedy focuses on the family dynamic and it’s called “August: Osage County” and it is based on the Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer prize winning (and Tony Award-winning play). The cast is just fantastic, with Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ewan McGregor, Margo Martindale, Abigail Breslin, Chris Cooper and Dermot Mulroney, Benedict Cumberbatch and Juliette Lewis headlining and other famous names tucked away within the scenes it’s one of the largest gatherings of talent that Hollywood has put-out this year.
The film was directed by John Wells while Tracy Letts of course wrote both the script and the screenplay. George Clooney and Grant Heslov will produce the film with Jean Doumanian and Steve Traxler. The film is scheduled to release on November 8, 2013.
