Another day, another comedy-duo pairs up, though this time the names should sound very familiar. The upcoming film is set to begin production in a couple of months. Here are the details.
Paramount Pictures, and its parent company Viacom, have signed Vince Vaughn to co-star in the upcoming comedy ‘Daddy’s Home’. The film will be directed by Etan Cohen and will begin production this fall. The script was written by Brian Burns, Adam McKay, Chris Henchy and Cohen himself. The movie will tell the story of a radio-executive (played by Ferrell) who is determined to be the best possible step-father to his new kids. This is problematic when the children’s biological father (Vaughn) shows up and tries to ‘out father’ Ferrell.
The film is being produced by Ferrell and McKay through Gary Sanchez Productions, with Joe Drake and Nathan Kahane through Good Universe alsongside Matt Leonetti and Spencer Wong who will co-produce. Gary Sanchez’s Henchy and Jessica Elbaum will executive produce.
