EA has just update the company’s digital distribution store “Origin”. The new update adds a cleaner UI and a few more options for graphics-ready PCs.
The company made the announcement on the official blog, stating “Today we start rolling out a new update to Origin, designed to refresh parts of the interface, add features for power gamers, and improve the experience for gameplay broadcasters.”
The new update makes this version 9.2.1 and it is available for PCs currently, Mac users will have to wait one more day (Friday). If you are not a beta-tester for Origin, you will get the finished version “in the weeks to come”. EA remind players that “As always, if you’d like to try out the latest update, opting in to Origin betas is simple (and free)”.
Once you have downloaded the update you can check out the “Application Settings”, there is a new ability to auto-archive your broadcasts. There is also a new 64-bit systems on either PC or Mac, the new “multilauncher will give you additional options for taking advantage of your hardware when starting up supported games”. Now all the achievements from “Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3, and Dead Space 3” can be seen from your Origin profile page.
