Michael Bay is the executive producer of ‘Black Sails’, a new pirate-themed series set to premier in January, and Starz has released the first promotional-poster from the show.
The series will feature Captain Flint, made famous by the classic-tale ‘Treasure Island’ which seems to be the basis of the series, though loosely affiliated by any means. Toby Stephens will take the helm as Captain Flint, the events in the series take place twenty years before the events in the book. Luke Arnold will play John Silver, the new recruit to Flint’s crew. Other stars include Zach McGowan, who plays a rival Captain Charles Vane, there is also Toby Schmitz as Rackham and Hannah New as Eleanor Guthrie. Clara Paget takes the role of Anne Bonny and Tom Hopper as Billy Bones.
You can get your first official look at Black Sails with the trailer above. The new original series will be coming exclusively to STARZ in January 2014.
