There are more tablets out today then you probably realize, and although terms like (iOS, Android, Windows 8) all do a pretty great job at separating most of your options into manageable categories, it can be easy to overlook some of the better ones.
The Lenovo 11S Yoga tablet is expected to launch later this month, and there are many reasons why you should add it to your comparison list. First off all, the tablet offers an Intel Core i7 processor option, that right there should get your attention. Add to that Windows 8 Pro and an 11.6″ frame holding a (1366×768) IPS display with 10-point multitouch with 16:9 widescreen. It’s also only 3.1 lbs but weight is slowly not becoming an issue with any tablet nowadays. The battery runs for 6 hours according to the manufacturer, but a hands-on test will be needed to determined exactly what that entails.
What doesn’t need any clarifications are the hardware specs, the 11S comes with a 256GB SSD and you have the option to include up to 8GB DDR3 memory. The 256GB SSD and 8GB DDR3 memory option with the i7 processor puts it above most low-priced laptops and easily above most ultrabooks in its class. The device is set to make its consumer debut later this month, stay tuned for pricing and more details and if you’re still shopping for a tablet, keep this one in mind.
