Barnes and Noble drops Nook HD and Nook HD+ price for Mother’s Day, starting at $149

The small tablet race is heating up as companies prepare their annual ‘Mother’s Day’ promotions. The small tablet maker Barnes & Noble, announced their new prices earlier this week.
The promotion is for a limited time only but it does cover the full spectrum of tablets being offered by the retailer. The Nook line recently made headlines last week by adding the Google Play store to the tablet’s available library. The promotion is scheduled to last until Mother’s Day and has the Nook HD starting at $149 with the Nook HD+ starting at $179, again until May 12, 2013. Normally the MSRP on both models are $199 and $269 respectively. Here are the official numbers:
Nook HD (8GB) – $149
Nook HD (16GB) – $179
Nook HD+ (16GB) – $179
Nook HD+ (32Gb) – $209
You can check out the official promotions page on the Barnes & Noble website below, the promotion is also offered in store. This comes just a few days after Amazon announced its own promotion for the company’s ‘Kindle Fire HD’ line.
