It took awhile before Steven Spielberg finally decided on his next project, but today it was confirmed that Bradley Cooper will star in Spielberg’s upcoming film “American Sniper”.
As reported by THR, the script was written by Jason Hall and centers around a Navy SEAL who is reflecting back on his military tours and experiences. The film is based on the book “American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History” by Chris Kyle, Scott McEwan and Jim DeFelice. A sniper with over 150 confirmed kills is the center of that story.
The film will be both a Warner Bros.and DreamWorks production and is being produced by Spielberg, Cooper, Andrew Lazar, and Peter Morgan in cooperation with Kristie Macosko Krieger and Adam Somner. It was Cooper’s production company, 22nd & Indiana Pictures, who obtained the rights to the book.
