Crysis 3, Tomb Raider, Laptops and Ultrabooks lead March sale promotions

March is almost over, as we enter the summer doldrums of video-game releases it is usually fall’s top sellers that appear on gamer’s wish-lists. On the laptop front HP and and Apple are the brands shaving prices to meet sales.
The final week in March has a few big titles under the knife this week. EA’s popular Crysis 3 is available for only $39.99. Square Enix’s hit reboot ‘Tomb Raider’ is also $39.99 for a limited time. A new edition to the list is the PC title ‘SimCity’ which was recently released and will soon be out for Macs over the coming months, that game also received a $20 price-cut at $39.99.
A rare discount for Apple’s latest edition Macbook Pro 13″ model is also available, at $100 off it comes in for just $1099. The Samsung Chromebook (Wi-Fi, 11.6-Inch) for $249 is still the winning promotion in Amazon’s sales going into week 4. There is a broader sale on Intel Powered PCs, with customers saving an additional $50 off on select models across the online-retailers site. Sony’s VIZIO laptops are getting an even greater discount, with promotions up to $400 select models. The HP Pavilion g7-2222us 17.3″ is $75 off (in black only) for $480.
GameStop has a few promotions as well this weekend, including Far Cry 3 for only $29.99, TombRaider for $39.99 and Assassin’s Creed 3 for $29.99.
The Microsoft store has a few special promotions of their own, ranging from $50 off to $350 off select laptops and Ultrabooks. This includes the ASUS VivoBook X202E Touchscreen Ultrabook in black and pink for $50 off, the ASUS Taichi 21-UH51 Touchscreen Ultrabook for $100 off and the Acer Aspire S7-391-9839 Touchscreen Ultrabook (Intel Core i7) for $350 off for a limited time. Not to be forgotten, the Acer Aspire S7-391-6822 Touchscreen Ultrabook is available for $300 off for a limited time.
