For awhile now TweetDeck has been approaching the chopping block. The application will no longer be available starting this May.
Twitter officially acquired TweetDeck in an effort to shut it down, the removal of the application from virtual stores goes into effect on May 7, 2013. All of the TweetDeck apps (TweetDeck Air, TweetDeck Android, and TweetDeck iOS) will be removed and will no longer function. Even though TweetDeck also works with Facebook, there will no longer be Facebook integration with TweetDeck once it is shut down.
There are some options, obviously the Twitter App will work since it’s the official application, but other apps like Tweetbot and Hootsuite will work as well.
