A second trailer has been released ahead of ‘Only God Forgives’ debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The film’s dark, yet stunningly dramatic art-design features a new direction from Gosling’s previous work.
The film was only recently added as a Cannes competitor this year, the list of course being extremely secretive leading up to the event. Directed by Nicolas Winding-Refn’s the film takes place in the underground crime-world of Bangkok. Gosling stars as the son of a drug-smuggling family that runs a Thai boxing circuit. Gosling is charged with avenging his brother’s death by his mother (Kristin Scott Thomas).
Aside from the brilliant cinematography and lavish locations that we have seen so far, much of the film focuses on the overt-sexual and ultra-violent underground that festers within Bangkok.
