After all the speculation and back-room negotiations, Showtime has decided it will not be renewing Dexter for a ninth season.
The upcoming serial-killer based drama that is ‘Dexter’ will end with Season 8. News came early this morning that Dexter would not be making a comeback, and Showtime released the above ‘sneak-peak’ trailer that reminds everyone that this will be the final season.
The eighth season is set to premier on June 30, 2013 at 9pm on Showtime. The series, starring Michael C. Hall, has been on the network since 2006 and has 25 Emmys to show for it. The ultimate fate of Dexter will surely be the talk of the town now that the show will officially end this year. In just a handful of episodes all the stories will come to a close, all the secrets will be in the open. I miss Rita.
