Polaris Project is a global effort to target Human Trafficking

Earlier this year during the Google Ideas INFO Summit, the Polaris Project was detailed. An amazing project, it aims to utilize technology and data to protect, rescue and prevent human trafficking.
The Polaris Project, in conjunction with Liberty Asia and LaStrada International are focusing their combined efforts to aid in stopping the growing trend of human trafficking. The video above highlights some of the amazing steps that the organization is taking on the local, national, and regional scale.
The idea conceived at the Google Ideas INFO Summit adds a ‘Global Human Trafficking Hotline Network,’ which is an international collaboration between nonprofits that will provide better coordination between departments and allow for greater victim protection across borders. This project is being funded by Google’s Global Impact Awards.
