Sony Online Entertainment has been busy keeping their hit MMOFPS ‘PlanetSide 2’ fresh and exciting for fans, now the company has released a new mobile companion app for mobile users.
Sony made the announcement via press-release earlier this morning, the new app will allow players to “stay connected and strategize at all times” according to SOE. The application, called PlanetSide 2 Mobile Uplink, is free to download and is available on iPhone, iPad and Android devices (including Kindle Fire). You can find it on either the Apple App Store or Google Play.
The official description states that the PlanetSide 2 Mobile Uplink app “features a comprehensive guide to weapons, vehicles, classes and more, while keeping players updated on all news from within the game”. While using the app, players can “receive near real time updates to character stats, leaderboards and general updates from the battlefield, as well as voice chat with their outfit from the game”. Additionally, PlanetSide 2 Mobile Uplink connects players to all of the game’s community sites and social channels, such as YouTube, Twitch streams and forums.
