Never before in recorded history did we have to worry about all of our personal information and online identities after death. It’s not really a fun topic anyway.
It used to be an honor to remain in the logs of history forever, warriors and kings considered it the ultimate prize to be remembered after death. Now it’s more of a security issue. Google has stepped forward to allow users to configure the “Inactive Account Manager” which will allow users to set time out periods of three to twelve months.
After that time it will grant access to a “trusted contact” opening up all of your Google accounts to that user. It’s kind of a grimm way to continue on your Thursday but you should be taking steps towards your ultimate end.
