Dark Souls II is starting to come out of the shadows. A new trailer and some more information on the game have been released.
Dark Souls II is set to release this fall on for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Namco Bandai released new information, as well as the trailer above, earlier this morning. Namco seems to want to ensure fans that the same difficulty that they faced in the original will be back in the sequel stating, “Dare yourself to engage against intense gameplay in a vast world powered by an all new engine that leaps graphics, sound & FX forward like never before.”
The developers, FROM SOFTWARE, also promise “twisted monsters and deadly bosses”. Other points made by the team consists of challenges that will “prey on human sense & phobias – auditory hallucinations, vertigo, acrophobia, etc”. There will be more “customization options” this time around, including “weapons and armor tailoring”.
On the multiplayer-side of the game there will be both online and co-op play, as well as an “upgraded combat system, a vastly expanded suite of characters, deeper customization options, new weapons, armoer abilities, and balanced player progression system”.
Dark Souls II is expected to release this October for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360
