More Batman = good. More Batman in the form of the Arkham Asylum/City universe = even better. A new game by the name of Arkham Origins = the best.
After taking the mantle of the Arkham series over from Rocksteady Games, WB Montreal has officially announced the next game in the Arkham series, entitled Batman: Arkham Origins. As the title suggests, Arkham Origins will take place a number of years before the first two games, focusing on a young and green Batman encountering many of the Batman universe’s villains for the first time. Case in point: Deathstroke.
Those who are concerned about the game being in the hands of anyone other than Rocksteady should rest assured (somewhat); the Montreal team has full access to Rocksteady’s custom modified Unreal engine. Let’s hope the tone of the game does not change from the previous entries!
Batman: Arkham Origins is set to release for Wii U, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 25, 2013.
