The much talked about Facebook/Android press-event is scheduled to start in just about 30 minutes. If you are not attending but would like to follow along, you can do so via Facebook.
The event extended an invitation for the press to come see Facebook’s “new home on Android”. There are some rumors that this will indicate a smartphone from Facebook, other say it will be a new UI built right into Android devices moving forward. Other rumors buzzing about the internet say the announcement will point to a new Facebook OS all together, one powered by Android itself. If this rumor is true, it would be highly unlikely that AT&T would run the OS. In any event the live-stream will kickoff from Menlo Park, California where Facebook will unveil their new announcements.
Mark Zuckerberg is expected to reveal the new ‘Android’ centric details, starting at 1pm EST you can check out the live-stream on the official site below.
