A first look at Daylight on the Unreal Engine 4, a truly horrific experience awaits you
The upcoming horror title ‘Daylight’ is one of the most interesting games that were featured at this year’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
During the event, Epic Games will be showing more footage of games that will run on the new Unreal Engine 4. One of those games is the upcoming PC title ‘Daylight’. It is easily one of our frontrunners in the horror category so far, and the new gameplay shows a few unique mechanics that will be used to bring terror to gamers.
According to the developers, players will be “waking up in an abandoned hospital with only your cell phone for illumination”. Playing as truly vulnerable character in a game is one of the best ways a horror-title can force players into a sense of isolation and dispair. The developers also state that in the game “no two experiences are the same, and it is best played alone in the dark”. It’s not hard to see why, the game has a terrific atmosphere, even its alpha-stage. The game will be released via Steam. Head over to Zombie Studio’s official site for more screens and details on the game.
