There will be a slight change in programing over at FX, the company announced that will now have a new channel and it is moving two of its most popular series to help launch it.
The confirmation came earlier this morning in a press-release sent out from FX. In the release the company announced a new channel called FXX. This new channel will launch on September 22, 2013 and season 9 of ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ and season 5 of the ‘The League’ will move to support it in the future.
This also serves as a confirmation that both shows have been renewed, though there was little doubt that FX still wanted to support the popular series, a season 6 and 10 are in the works for both shows. There were other shows that were mentioned in the release which are also moving. This includes ‘Legit and Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell’ which will now get a second season.
The new channel FXX will also be featuring reruns of Freaks & Geeks, Sports Night, Parks and Recreation and Arrested Development to help fill some of the gaps in the daily programming until more shows are added in the future.
