Today is a great day to be an Apple gamer, Fireaxis Games have announced that the hit title ‘XCOM: Enemy Unknown’ will be coming to both iOS and Mac OS X devices later this year.
In the iOS version of the game, players will not lose any of the gameplay mechanics or gameplay options that were available on PCs or consoles. Being able to play the full title on a handheld is truly a terrific step-forward for tablet gaming, which has been steadily increasing since the launch of the first iPad.
This information came via the Fireaxis panel at PAX 2013 in Boston. There is no news on the price of the iOS version, though it expected to be cheaper than the retail version of the game on PC or console. The game is expected to hit the iTunes store this summer.
