Voters who participated in the 2013 Xbox Entertainment Awards should be cautious about their personal information. It has been reported that the website hosting the voting, has been hacked and sensitive information may be at risk.
Reports are coming in from MCV, that an anonymous person has posted a link to a page which shows the names, gamertags, emails and birthdays of the participating voters. The website has been shut-down since the report came out. At the time the reader found the leak there were 2,892 listing available for the world to see.
Someone from Microsoft told MCV that the website was “experiencing technical difficulties with the Xbox Entertainment Awards landing page” but no other information was given at this time. We have reached out to Microsoft regarding this matter, and will update this article if a response or confirmation is given.
