Ever since the PS4 reveal a few weeks ago, rumors have been flying about regarding the next installment of the hit Gran Turismo series, Gran Turismo 6. Will it be releasing for the PS3? Maybe the Vita? The PS4? All of the above?
Despite blurbs by people popping up all over the interwebz, nothing official has been revealed as of yet. File this next one into the realm of “Could it be…?” Members of Polyphony Digital (the developers of the GT series) were spotted at L.M. Gianetti, a high end racing and engineering company based out of Turin, Italy.
The PD members were there scanning cars for a currently undisclosed GT game. The cars in question were the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione, Martini Racing’s Lancia Delta HF Integrale, and the Alfa Romeo 155 Touring Car. Even more interesting, however, is a photo gallery on L.M. Gianetti’s Facebook page of the PD scan session entitled “SCANSIONE PER GRAN TURISMO PS4,” which translates to “Scanning for Gran Turismo PS4.”
This means one of two things: 1) a GT game is coming to the PS4, presumably GT 6, or 2) L.M. Gianetti made a typo. Let’s hope it’s the first and not the second!
