Over thirty years ago, the ‘Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ series began as a small radio-show, that show aired 1978. Today Google is paying its respects to the creator of the series, Douglas Adams, with a Google Doodle.
Over the past few decades we have seen the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series materialize as novels, television series, movies, a video game and more. The Doodle stands as a reminder that it would have been Douglas Adams’ 61st birthday today. Adams died in May of 2001 from a heart-attack in California, he was only in his early 50’s when he passed away.
Fans can visit Google’s homepage below to take a interactive Doodle which is dedicated to Adams and his beloved creations. The Doodle does a fantastic job of highlighting a few key aspects of Marvin, Arthur and Ford’s personality using the Doodle’s interactivity to allow vistors to find many hidden gems and nods to the series.
