In a very rare occurrence, Amazon has decided to not let customers buy the digital version of the recently released EA title ‘SimCity’ until the server issues preventing players from entering the game are fixed.
Since the launch of SimCity players around the world have been hit with a mountain of errors, frozen servers and other pitfalls preventing them from the playing the game. The overloaded servers are being worked on by EA and Maxis Games but apparently not fast enough according to Amazon. On the official product page of SimCity, on the digital version of the game is this alert message from Amazon:
“Many customers are having issues connecting to the “SimCity” servers. EA is actively working to resolve these issues, but at this time we do not know when the issue will be fixed. Please visit https://help.ea.com/en/simcity/simcity for more information.”
There is still no definite time-table from EA on when the servers will be fully operational. Until then many players have not been able to access the game since it’s launch.
