A new Facebook event points to a streamlined timeline

A new press-event has the social community buzzing about possible changes to the Facebook timeline feature. The social-media giant has just invited members of the press to attend a new event at the company’s headquarters in California.
The event will take place at the Menlo Park headquarters, an unusual location for Facebook, who normally does not hold press-events at that specific headquarter’s location. Most of the attention seems to be based on the news feed and the UI of the site, “come see a new look for News Feed” is the single quote from the invite. The event is scheduled to take place on March 7, 2013 meaning you may have to sit through everyone you know complaining about subtle changes to the site’s structure.
The event itself is scheduled to start at 10am EDT. Facebook just recently held a press-event for the announcement of the new Graph Search feature that Facebook will be rolling out. We will of course keep you updated on the upcoming changes when they are announced next week. You can expect to hear about a new layout, possible new UI features and a redesign in the coming months.
