The long-awaited film adaptation of ‘Uncharted’ is moving forward it seems, thanks to the studio finalizing the director of the film, Seth Gordon. Reports are that Sony Pictures Entertainment is in final negotiations with Seth Gordon, set to direct Uncharted. Deadline was the first to disclose the negotiations.
The movie will be a film adaptation of the popular game-series, which stars Nathan Drake as the lovable treasure hunter that often finds himself in over his head while on the trail for missing artifacts or legends.
The game was developed by Naughty Dog, and it’s one of the exclusives that the PS3 holds most dear. The movie has seen its share of setbacks so far, the latest script was written by David Guggenheim and that seems to be sticking throughout the changes.
The hardest choice will be who will play Nathan Drake himself, no matter who is chosen you can expect the initial gasping of devoted fans, then the choice will be who should play his journalist love interest in the movie. The project is set to be produced through Arad/Atlas Entertainment. Sony and Naughty Dog announced that a new Uncharted 4 game will be releasing in 2014, but have not announced any other details at this time.
