Jennifer Carpenter moves on from Dexter, will star in ABC’s ‘Sea of Fire’ series John Stewart January 29, 2014 Television Jennifer Carpenter won’t be taking a long break from television, the popular star of Dexter has been chosen to star in a new series from ABC called ‘Sea of Fire’. The role won’t be too much of a change, Carpenter will be going from Detective to FBI agent in the new series. Fans know Jennifer Carpenter best from her role as Debra Morgan, she spent eight years on Showtime’s ‘Dexter,’ that series came to an end last year. The new series revolves around three young girls from a small town, they star in one erotic film together, but it comes back to haunt them. Soon after a murder, a strange disappearance and sudden changes in their daily lives, the girls begin to get suspicious that someone is out to ruin them. As Leah Pierce in the new series, Carpenter will yet again play a hard-working, and extremely direct female law-enforcer. The script comes from Scandal’s Jenna Bans, she will also serve as the show’s executive producer. She will produce alongside Rob Golenberg, Alon Aranya, David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman, Laurie Zaks, Robert Kievit and Frank Ketelaar. Allison Liddi-Brown has been chased to direct the pilot.
