AMC goes public on NYSE, starting at $18 a share Sean Thomas December 17, 2013 Film AMC Entertainment Holdings announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 18,421,053 shares of its Class A common stock at $18.00 per share. AMC has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2,631,579 shares at the initial public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions. The shares are expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “AMC” on a when-issued basis December 18, 2013 and on a “regular-way” basis December 23, 2013. The offering is expected to close on or about December 23, 2013 subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. The net proceeds of the offering are expected to be approximately $314.2 million after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions, before deducting estimated offering expenses, and prior to any exercise of the underwriters’ option to purchase additional shares. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering primarily to retire outstanding indebtedness and also for general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures.
