Allison Janney and AnnaSophia Robb talk about working on The Way Way Back John Stewart June 18, 2013 Film, Interviews The same studio that brought you ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ and ‘Juno’ have a new film coming out that is shaping up to be one of the best-cast films of this summer. In the video above you can find a moment away from the camera, when Allison Janney and AnnaSophia Robb sat down to talk about what it was like to work on the project. Starring an amazing line up of actors (Steve Carell, AnnaSophia Robb, Rob Corddry, Amanda Peet, Sam Rockwell, Toni Collette, Allison Janney and focusing on Liam James) the film has everything it needs to be a terrific July hit. ‘The Way, Way Back’ started its journey when it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. It wasn’t long after that, Fox Searchlight won the rights to release it after outbidding the competition for $10 million. The film itself will release Friday, July 5, 2013. It stars Sam Rockwell, a waterpark manager, who takes a shine to a young teen (Liam James) during a particularly terrible summer vacation with his single mother (Toni Collette) and her terrible boyfriend (Steve Carell) and his daughter. In the interview above you can catch a few moments when the film was being made and here about the rocky start it had just to be funded.
